Home Maintenance :: Mirrors

“Mirror, Mirror on the wall who’s the beautiful of them all”. This famous quotation aptly defines the importance of mirror. Mirrors are basic necessity of every home. This is the reason why people have so many mirrors and almost at all the places. Mirrors are generally fitted in the bathrooms where people can shave and can also do various other things.

And also mirrors are fitted in the rooms so that they can use them for doing make-up, dressing up and many other activities. Nowadays, mirrors are equipped in the dressing table itself so that people don’t have to purchase a separate mirror. This not only saves the cost but also the hassles of buying separate mirrors. But before buying mirrors separately there are few points to be kept in mind. Those vital and important points are as follows:

• Mirror should be correctly dimensioned and also rightly cut

• At times it has been seen that mirrors are slightly bended towards one side. This gives a blurring reflection. This should be aptly checked

• Mirrors should be in a perfect size so that it is neither too big nor too small

• They should be cleaned from time to time so that they always give a neat and clean image

• If you are buying a designed mirror then make sure that design is in tandem with the room and also with the furniture. Try to buy the mirror from the same place where you bought the furniture such as dressing table, bed and other room vitalities

• If you are buying dressing table with a fixed mirror, then make sure that mirror is wide in width. By this you can easily dress up and also stare yourself at the time of getting ready

• Try to keep sharp things and equipments away from the mirror. By this there are less chances of getting scratch and also certain cracks

• If mirror is cracked from any of the side just swaps it as soon as possible. It can prove to be dangerous as anytime that crack mirror can fall

• Avoid keeping bulky and heavy things away from the mirror as this can put a scratch and crack to the mirror.
